Known to the tabloids as "Paris the Heiress," Hilton made a name for herself as a party-hopping socialite early in the 21st century. As a child, Hilton — whose great-grandfather was Conrad Hilton — lived at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, but struggled academically (and socially) at a series of posh schools. Her fate was to laze around various mansions waiting to marry someone even richer than herself. “But I was never that kind of girl,” she says. “I was having dinner with my grandfather last week, and he said, ‘You work harder than any CEO I know.’ Soon, her business profits will have eclipsed the inheritance on which the whole fantasy about her hinges, a sum she has to share with multiple other grandchildren, and which, though impressive, would never have landed her in the Sunday Times Rich List. After enjoying a major ratings boost courtesy of the fourth installment of the dueling duo's reality series, E! Entertainment Television has ordered another season of The Simple Life for 2007, the network announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California. (E! Online and E! Entertainment Television are divisions of E! Networks.) E! acquired the series last year, after it was dropped by Fox. Simple Life 4: 'Til Death Do Us Part, which debuted last month, features Hilton and Richie putting their own spin on domesticity--separately. Their friendship may be a thing of the past, but Life goes on for Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Both have stated they have no trouble working together professionally. We'll see. And, as long as the show continues to gain in popularity, the bucks roll in, so everyone wins, including the fans. Especially you, the fans! In 2003, reports surfaced: a steamy sex video, featuring 22-year-old Hilton, which could soon be available on the Internet ŕ la Tommy and Pamela's infamous romp. The tape has supposedly been sent to several gossip columnists. In this decade, Paris is quickly becoming the most searched for and downloaded name on the Internet. The tape features the then barely legal celebutante getting X-rated with Shannen Doherty's on-again, off-again husband, 33-year-old Rick Salomon. Hilton and Salomon used to date. Salomon then hooked up with Doherty and, after a whirlwind courtship, wed the former Charmed star in February 2002. Nine months later, he went back to former flame Hilton, which subsequently lead to a catfight between the two ladies. He has since reportedly reconciled with Doherty. According to sources quoted in the New York Post who have seen the footage, Hilton "keeps staring into the camera and trying to show her best side…She knows she is being taped, and [Salomon] keeps trying to get her into sex positions that are better for taping, if you know what I mean." E! Online has run documentaries, which, by the way, you can see commercial free and uninterrupted on your own computer -- about Paris and her sister, who we think is not nearly as newsworthy, although both sisters are very well known for being at the 'right' club at the 'right' time. She knows how to play the camera, our Paris does, and wait until you see the huge archive of material we've got, from commercials to her advertisements and Paris posing for the multitudes of paparrazzi who lie in wait to catch her off guard. Paris is amongst the many celebrities whose nipples have made headlines, especially when her bikini, ahem, slips...oops. Or was it? But you can judge that one for yourself as you watch the vid clips and check out the images. Of course, any celebrity worth her salt simply MUST have a stalker; and, Paris Hilton is no different. As she fled her stalkerazzi in an envious Land Rover, the police, naturally, pulled her over to check out her possibly vodka-enhanced driving skills. You'll be relieved to know she was let off with a warning, a wrist slap that we're sure the cops would issue to anyone who responds to cruiser flashing lights by speeding away. This is one incident we do not recommend trying at home. The stars do live by rules that don't apply to us, the peasants. Former child star, Shirley Temple has some very grown up criticism of Paris Hilton. The 77-year-old former curly topped cutie has blasted Hilton, saying that those like the partying heiress are “stealing the thunder from really talented actors who have learnt their craft,” reports the London Express. Another Shirley is also taking aim at Hilton. Shirley MacLaine, who was named after Temple, had unkind words for Hilton. “She just shops and turns up to parties,” said MacLaine while promoting her film “In Her Shoes.” “So she wears pink and has blonde hair and suddenly she calls herself not a starlet or an ingénue — no, according to Paris, she is a movie star!” Poor Paris Hilton doesn’t have too much luck when it comes to privacy issues. The partying heiress has been the victim of a hacker who somehow got access to her Blackberry and was reading her private e-mails, says a source. “It became obvious to her what was going on,” says the source. “She was pretty upset about it. It’s one thing to have people looking at your sex tapes, but having people reading your personal e-mails is a real invasion of privacy.” Hilton's rep said the heiress has changed her number and is still reeling from the debacle, according to the New York Post. She had even promoted the Sidekick II in TV ads. "We're just trying to find out how this all happened. I have no idea what is going on or if the FBI is investigating," said her publicist, who added that the heirhead is in Florida filming a new season of the "The Simple Life." Like many online service providers, T-Mobile requires users to answer a "secret question" if they forget their passwords. According to the O'Reilly Network, for Hilton's account, the secret question was "What is your favorite pet's name?" By correctly providing the answer, any internet user could change Hilton's password and freely access her account. Hilton makes no secret of her affection for her Chihuahua. Last August, Hilton offered a reward of $5,000 when her beloved Tinkerbell disappeared after the house she shared with sister Nicole was burglarized. The Massachusetts teenager who reportedly hacked into Paris Hilton's cell phone account has been sentenced to 11 months in a juvenile facility. Celebrity phone numbers stored in Hilton's cell phone were posted online when her account was hacked earlier this year. A Washington Post report on Wednesday identified Hilton as a victim of the 17-year-old Massachusetts boy. Paris has apologised to all of her friends and contacts on her phone; but, the damage was done, as phone lines lit up with fans calling the published numbers. What a day in the life of Poor Little Rich Girl, Paris! The fight between Paris and other super-star Lindsay Lohan is legendary and certainly one we've been following since it started. Paris, getting her phone hacked, had a boomerang effect, leading Lindsay to believe that Paris' hacker, who leaked out phone numbers, caused someone else to hack into her phone address book. We're very sure that the bad blood started way before the cell phone hack incident; but, it makes for some very juicy gossip to add fuel to their fire. When she was caught on video making nice to two African-American men, then treacherously calling them "dumb n-s" after they left, it might have been a career-ender, but Paris barely got her wrists slapped. Even after her former friend Brandon Davis claimed: "She is a racist, plus an idiot. ... She puts down Jews and other minorities, too. And I'm Jewish." Paris - who, according to published reports, tried to buy the tape to take it out of circulation - sidestepped the issue of using racial epithets but declared: "I love everybody and am not a person who discriminates against anyone - ever." The shocker of the year is a Paris Hilton announcement that she is going 'sexless' for a year. A whole year. The hotel heiress has imposed the ban on herself because she is convinced that abstaining from all carnal activity will help her to "rediscover" herself. She said: "I'm doing it just because I want to. I feel I'm becoming stronger as a person. "Every time I have a boyfriend, I'm just so romantic, and I'll put all my energy into the guy, and I don't really pay attention to myself." Paris, who is releasing her first single 'Stars Are Blind' this month, recently revealed she doesn't believe in one night stands - because they are "gross". She said: "One-night stands are not for me. I think it's gross when you just give it up.
